This job posting is for the position of a Customer Service Representative at San Marcos Premium Outlets. This is a vital role responsible for being the primary point of contact between the guests, retailers, and Simon Property Group. The position's primary focus is delivering exceptional customer service and supporting sales initiatives. As the front line of interaction, the representative is expected to possess strong sales abilities along with polished customer service skills. The role is temporary for 90 days with the potential to transition to a permanent position based on business needs and performance.

The successful candidate will be entrusted with representing Simon Property Group to visitors by offering high-quality, efficient, friendly, and energetic service on a daily basis. This includes financial management duties such as handling deposits and reconciliations, maintaining marketing materials and signage ensuring up-to-date and relevant information, and responding to inquiries appropriately from guests and retailers. The position also involves handling cash and POS procedures in compliance with corporate guidelines and actively participating in various Simon service initiatives such as the Simon Youth Foundation, Blackhawk Retailer Program, Gift with Purchase programs, and more.

Additionally, the Customer Service Representative will support group and individual tourism programs, VIP Shopper program enrollment and tracking, and assist co-workers and other departments as required. Higher ethical standards and confidentiality are expected, ensuring adherence to the Simon code of ethics and maintaining a professional, courteous presence at the San Marcos Premium Outlets. The role demands stamina as the representative must be able to spend the entire shift on their feet and multitask effectively over extended periods. Work schedules are flexible, requiring availability on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overall, this position is perfect for an outgoing, articulate individual passionate about providing excellent guest experiences in a retail environment with opportunities for career progression.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or sales
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to stand for 100 percent of the time during shift
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks for up to five hours at a time
  • Must have flexible availability including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must present a professional, pleasant and courteous appearance at all times

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or sales
  • Articulate, outgoing, and professional demeanor
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays
