As a Rental Agent at our Provo Airport and surrounding locations, you will be a key player in delivering outstanding customer service and supporting our rental operations. Your role involves interacting directly with travelers, assisting them with vehicle rentals, promoting sales of upgrades and protection products, and ensuring smooth contract processing. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment demanding strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and meticulous attention to detail. You will be responsible not only for sales and customer transactions but also for vehicle inspections and preparing vehicles for the next tenant, maintaining organizational standards at the rental counter, and accurately documenting all relevant transactions and interactions. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must work weekends
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently
  • Valid driver’s license with good clean driving record (no more than 2 incidents/accidents in last 3 years)
  • If under 21 must have clean driving record
  • Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, or within the car rental industry is ideal
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check and drug screen

Job Duties

  • Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with the car rental process from start to finish
  • Promote upgrades to a more premium car
  • Advise customers on protection product services and additional services to enhance the customer experience
  • Prepare rental contracts, verify customer information, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, or issues efficiently and professionally
  • Conduct vehicle inspections before and after rentals, documenting any existing damage and ensuring vehicles are clean and ready for next customer
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the rental counter and surrounding area
  • Keep accurate records of transactions, inventory, and customer interactions
