Job Description

Talkiatry is a clinician-led, virtual psychiatry practice designed to blend the clinical stability of hospital-based care with the autonomy commonly found in private practices. Founded in 2020 by Dr. Georgia Gaveras, a triple board-certified psychiatrist, and Robert Krayn, a patient inspired to improve mental health access, Talkiatry has quickly grown into a comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care model. The company offers a highly collaborative environment with a clinical community including over 800 psychiatrists and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) alongside more than 300 therapists practicing in 32 different languages. This wide-reaching network supports patients and clinicians with a team-based approach to delivering mental health services.

This specific role is designed for experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners who are looking for predictable W-2 compensation and benefits while enjoying clinical autonomy and control over their professional schedule. The position operates fully remotely, providing outpatient care with a focus on lower to moderate acuity patient populations such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and PTSD. The role features standard session lengths, with 60-minute initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups. Clinicians are supported with a seamless operational infrastructure including scheduling, billing, intake coordination, and licensing, freeing them from administrative burdens and allowing them to focus on patient care.

Clinical autonomy is a key component of this position. Practitioners have control over setting their availability, session structures within clinical standards, and patient caseloads tailored to their preferences and expertise. The company’s integrated care model enhances provider resources with an in-house referral network connecting psychiatrists and therapists to offer comprehensive support for patients. This ensures clinicians can make clinical decisions without pressures to reduce visit lengths or increase patient loads, thus enabling high-quality, attentive care.

Talkiatry emphasizes stability and benefits, offering a competitive salary range between $180,000 to $215,000 annually which consists of a base salary combined with monthly productivity incentives, guaranteed during the onboarding ramp-up. Other benefits include employer-paid malpractice insurance, health, dental, and vision insurance with premiums covered up to 100 percent, 401(k) with employer match and immediate eligibility, paid time off inclusive of holidays and sick leave, CME reimbursement and dedicated CME days, licensing support with upfront cost coverage, and provided technology packages to facilitate remote work. This comprehensive employment package supports clinicians both financially and professionally.

The company’s culture is built on inclusivity and equal opportunity, welcoming applications regardless of race, gender, disability, or other protected statuses, and provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. Talkiatry also participates in E-Verify to confirm right-to-work status in the U.S. Employment models include both full-time and part-time W-2 positions, offering the flexibility that many practitioners seek in today’s healthcare environment.

In summary, this opportunity with Talkiatry is ideal for PMHNPs who value clinical independence, desire a steady and comprehensive compensation and benefits system, and want the flexibility of remote psychiatric practice within a robust, integrated, and supportive virtual care platform.
