Job Description

Talkiatry is a clinician-led, virtual psychiatry practice that uniquely combines the stability found in hospital settings with the clinical autonomy typical of private practice. Founded in 2020 by Dr. Georgia Gaveras, a distinguished triple board-certified psychiatrist, and Robert Krayn, a patient who experienced firsthand the barriers in accessing mental health care, Talkiatry aims to transform outpatient psychiatric care. As a virtual outpatient clinic, it expands access to quality care by leveraging technology that supports clinicians and patients in a collaborative and flexible care environment. The company’s clinical community encompasses over 800 psychiatrists and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs), alongside more than 300 therapists practicing across 32 languages, fostering a diverse and inclusive healthcare setting. They emphasize a team-based approach to psychiatric care, ensuring patients have access to integrated services and peer support from a reliable referral network within the practice.

The role offered is designed for experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP-BC) seeking a balance of professional fulfillment, flexible scheduling, and predictable earnings through full-time or part-time W-2 employment. The position carries an appealing compensation range of $180,000 to $215,000 annually, including base salary and monthly productivity incentives, with guarantees during the initial onboarding ramp-up period. This clinical role is 100% remote and outpatient, focusing on treating lower to moderate acuity psychiatric populations such as those with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and PTSD. Practitioners work within standard session lengths—60-minute intake appointments and 30-minute follow-ups—with no expectation for inpatient, intensive outpatient program (IOP), partial hospitalization, or crisis shift coverage.

Talkiatry provides full operational support including scheduling, billing, intake coordination, and licensing assistance, which allows clinicians to minimize administrative burdens and focus on clinical care. Clinicians enjoy autonomy over their schedules, patient population, and session structure, operating within established clinical standards without pressure to shorten visits or increase patient volume. This environment supports clinical independence and prioritizes quality over quantity.

The company offers an extensive benefits package to support the health and well-being of its clinicians. These benefits include employer-paid malpractice insurance fully covered by the company, health, dental and vision insurance plans with premiums up to 100% covered, a 401(k) plan with immediate eligibility and employer match, paid time off including sick days and 11 paid holidays, continuing medical education (CME) reimbursement and dedicated CME days, licensing support with upfront cost coverage, and an approved technology package to facilitate remote work. Talkiatry also promotes a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, being an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities. The company participates in E-Verify to ensure authorized employment in the U.S. and encourages interested candidates to learn more about the practice and its community through their LinkedIn page and direct recruiter contact via email.
