Job Description

Talkiatry is a clinician-led, virtual psychiatry practice founded in 2020 by Dr. Georgia Gaveras, a triple board-certified psychiatrist, and Robert Krayn, a patient who experienced the challenges of accessing mental health care. This pioneering outpatient psychiatry model was developed with the mission of supporting both clinicians and patients while expanding access to high-quality mental health care across the United States. As a technology-enabled mental health provider, Talkiatry operates fully remotely, connecting a vibrant community of over 800 psychiatrists and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) and more than 300 therapists across 32 languages. The company emphasizes a collaborative, team-based care approach that maintains the clinical autonomy of independent practice combined with the stability and resources of a hospital-based setting. Talkiatry is dedicated to inclusivity and diversity, offering equal employment opportunities and providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals, fostering a culture of respect and support for all team members.

This role is specifically designed for experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) seeking a flexible, fully remote position with predictable W-2 compensation and comprehensive benefits. The successful candidate will enjoy clinical autonomy with control over their schedule, session formats, and patient population, all within a supportive outpatient telepsychiatry environment. You will provide psychiatric care to lower to moderate acuity patient populations, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and PTSD.

In this position, clinical tasks involve comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy delivered through a fully remote outpatient model. Each session follows standard lengths—typically 60-minute initial intakes and 30-minute follow-ups—to maintain high-quality clinical standards without the pressure to shorten visits or increase patient volume.

Talkiatry offers robust operational support including scheduling, billing, intake coordination, and licensing assistance, enabling clinicians to focus exclusively on patient care with minimal administrative burden. The integrated care model includes an in-house referral network to psychiatrists and therapists for coordinated treatment plans. The company’s commitment to clinician wellbeing is also apparent through benefits such as employer-paid malpractice coverage, employer-paid health, dental and vision insurance with up to 100% of premiums covered, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, paid time off including holidays and sick leave, CME reimbursement with dedicated CME days, licensing support, and provision of necessary technology packages.

The employment model is W-2 with full-time or part-time options available, offering competitive total earnings of $180,000 to $215,000+, which includes base salary plus productivity incentives guaranteed during the onboarding ramp-up period. Talkiatry's culture champions continuous clinical development, strong clinical judgment, and a collaborative approach, welcoming clinicians passionate about providing evidence-based psychiatric care in a telemedicine setting. The company participates in E-Verify to confirm legal work authorization and is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.

By joining Talkiatry, PMHNPs become part of a forward-looking clinical community that values autonomy, professional growth, and work-life balance, all while making a tangible impact on expanding access to essential mental health services nationwide.
