Job Description

Talkiatry is a clinician-led virtual psychiatry practice developed to bridge the reliability and structure of a hospital-based practice with the independence and clinical freedom typical of private practice settings. Founded in 2020 by Dr. Georgia Gaveras, a triple board-certified psychiatrist, alongside Robert Krayn, a patient who experienced the difficulties of obtaining accessible mental health care, Talkiatry has grown into a respected organization serving patients and supporting clinicians nationwide. The company is proud to foster a collaborative, team-based care environment consisting of over 800 psychiatrists and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs), along with 300 therapists across 32 languages. This vibrant clinical community supports a diverse patient population through a telehealth platform that enhances accessibility and quality of outpatient psychiatric care.

This role is specifically tailored for experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) seeking a balance of clinical autonomy with the stability of predictable compensation and comprehensive benefits. Talkiatry provides a fully remote, outpatient care model designed to minimize administrative burdens while maximizing clinical impact and flexibility. Employees benefit from a W-2 employment structure offering total annual on-target earnings ranging from $180,000 to $215,000, which includes a base salary and monthly productivity incentives guaranteed during the initial onboarding period.

In this position, PMHNPs operate with significant control over their schedules, session structures, and patient populations, enabling personalized care approaches within established clinical standards. The daily practice involves delivering 100% remote outpatient psychiatric services to a patient cohort with lower to moderate acuity conditions, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and PTSD. Standard session lengths consist of 60-minute intakes and 30-minute follow-ups, without responsibilities related to inpatient care, intensive outpatient programs, partial hospitalization, or crisis coverage.

Clinicians benefit from full operational support including scheduling, billing, intake coordination, and licensing assistance, fostering an environment focused on clinical excellence rather than administrative demands. An integrated care model is in place, promoting collaboration through an in-house referral network connecting psychiatrists and therapists for comprehensive patient management.

The role emphasizes clinical autonomy, enabling providers to make independent decisions without pressures to shorten sessions or increase patient volume artificially. This freedom allows practitioners to maintain high standards of care aligned with evidence-based practices and continuous professional development.

Talkiatry also offers an attractive benefits package featuring employer-paid malpractice coverage (occurrence-based and 100% covered), up to 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance premiums, 401(k) retirement savings plans with employer match and immediate eligibility, paid time off including sick days and holidays, CME reimbursement and dedicated CME days, licensing support with upfront cost coverage, and provision of a technology package for telepsychiatry practice.

The ideal candidate is a board-certified PMHNP with an active, unrestricted license that grants autonomous practice authority. Candidates must have at least three years of post-graduate clinical experience delivering outpatient psychiatric care, including comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy. Proficiency in electronic medical records, strong clinical judgment, clear communication skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach are essential. Candidates must also be comfortable working entirely remotely in a telepsychiatry setting.

Talkiatry is committed to equity and inclusion, offering reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on protected characteristics. The company participates in E-Verify to ensure legal work authorization in the United States.
