Job Description
Liberty Mutual Insurance is a leading global insurance company known for its commitment to delivering outstanding products and services to its customers. As a Fortune 100 company, Liberty Mutual has built a solid reputation for innovation, integrity, and customer-centric solutions within the insurance industry. With a diverse portfolio spanning personal, commercial, and specialty insurance products, Liberty Mutual continuously strives to empower its employees and clients through technology, robust training, and comprehensive support. The company maintains a strong focus on workplace inclusion, professional growth, and employee well-being, ensuring that its workforce is valued and equipped to make a meaningful impact both internally and in the communities they serve.
This opportunity is for the role of Inside Sales Representative within Liberty Mutual's Contact Center Sales Organization. The role is designed for motivated individuals seeking a career in insurance sales with no prior license required, as the company provides free Property and Casualty (P&C) license training with paid training time. Training for this position begins in August and September of 2026, with classes organized for licensed and unlicensed candidates. The Inside Sales Representatives are responsible for engaging inbound and warm leads, consulting with customers about their insurance needs, and recommending the appropriate coverages and products to convert sales leads into satisfied policyholders.
This full-time, remote-based position offers a flexible work arrangement, with shift options primarily during late afternoon and evening hours. The role promises a friendly, supportive environment where positivity, flexibility, determination, and a persuasive personality are highly valued and fostered. Liberty Mutual equips employees with all necessary computer equipment to perform their duties from home and expects compliance with professional workspace standards and reliable internet connectivity. Furthermore, new hires can expect comprehensive medical benefits starting from day one, paid licensing and training opportunities, and a generous earning potential through a combination of salary and commission.
Starting base salary for this role begins at $45,000 annually, with average earnings ranging between $55,000 to $75,000 including commissions, and top-performing agents can earn $85,000 or more as they progress beyond their second year. Liberty Mutual is actively hiring inbound sales professionals across various states, including Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. Licensed-only candidates are also considered from Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Kentucky, provided they reside within these locations.
The Inside Sales Representative role demands a strong sales acumen combined with a customer-first approach. The role involves no cold calling; all leads are inbound or warm, allowing the sales professional to focus on building rapport and delivering tailored insurance solutions. Employees must be capable of working a schedule of four weekdays and one weekend day, with shift options from 11:30 am to 8 pm EST, 12:30 pm to 9 pm EST, or 1:30 pm to 10 pm EST for a minimum of six months before requesting shift changes.
Liberty Mutual values diversity, equity, and inclusion and provides an environment where employees can thrive. The company offers professional development opportunities, workplace flexibility, employee resource groups, and a supportive culture where every individual’s contribution is recognized and rewarded. This position offers a rewarding career trajectory for those passionate about sales and helping customers find the right insurance products, supported by extensive training, competitive pay, and meaningful benefits.
