The role of Customer Sales Representative at HGS is a dynamic and collaborative position, ideal for individuals passionate about providing exceptional customer experiences. The position focuses heavily on a consultative customer service approach, where representatives actively listen to customer needs and tailor product and service recommendations accordingly. HGS provides full training to ensure employees become experts in cable TV, satellite TV, internet, phone, and other related services.

Customer Sales Representatives primarily handle inbound customer calls, so no outbound sales or prospecting is required. The role involves using multiple computer systems to research and present suitable products, creating a "WOW" factor in every interaction by combining excellent communication skills with ownership and efficient service delivery. Additionally, employees receive regular one-on-one coaching from supervisors to keep performance aligned with company key performance indicators.

Job Requirements

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You can work between the hours of 8:00 AM - 12:00 AM 7 days per week with some flexibility
  • You have at least 6 months of customer service or sales experience
  • Retail or call center experience preferred
  • Demonstrate a caring, supportive and friendly nature in interactions
  • Comfortable sitting at a desk and working with multiple monitors
  • Results oriented and comfortable making product recommendations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 months of customer service or sales experience
  • Comfortable with using multiple computer systems
  • Strong communication and consultative sales skills
  • Friendly, caring, and supportive attitude

Job Duties

  • Communicate with customers through inbound calls
  • Identify customer needs through active listening to sell and cross-sell products that meet customer needs for cable TV, Satellite TV, Internet, Phone and various other services
  • Take a consultative approach with customers already interested in services and close the sale through customer focused interactions
  • Use multiple computer systems to research products, services and price points that meet customer needs
  • Create a “WOW” factor in every interaction through exceptional communication skills, ownership of the interaction and speed of service
  • Participate in regular 1:1 coaching sessions with supervisors to meet key performance indicators
