The Remediation Technician role at Case Remediation is crucial in achieving the company’s mission to restore safe and healthy indoor environments. This full-time position, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, offers a competitive pay range of $23-$30 per hour depending on experience. The technician will be responsible for performing thorough inspections to assess the extent of microbial contamination in residential properties and implementing effective remediation procedures. Duties include setting up containment barriers and negative air pressure systems to prevent cross-contamination, safely removing contaminated building materials such as drywall, insulation, and flooring, and reconstructing surfaces by installing sheetrock, cabinets, and appliances.

This role requires expertise in safely handling and disposing of hazardous materials in compliance with industry safety standards and company protocols. Utilizing moisture meters and air quality testing tools, the technician will evaluate moisture levels and contamination spread to guide remediation efforts. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of safety requirements and be able to follow detailed instructions and procedures meticulously.

Additionally, the technician should be adept at communicating professionally with residents, coworkers, and vendors to facilitate a smooth remediation process. Physical capabilities are essential as the job involves lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and maneuvering equipment and appliances. The ability to read, write, and comprehend English for business purposes is mandatory for documentation, correspondence, and effective communication on site.

Job Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Minimum 6 months related training or experience in remediation industry
  • IICRC required
  • AMRT and WRT certification preferred
  • Must be able to regularly travel to both in state and out of state property locations
  • Must be able to read, speak and understand English for business purposes
  • Must be able to read and write instructions, short correspondence, memos, service requests, and to converse with residents, co-workers, and vendors in a professional manner
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation including criminal record search, employment verification, and drug screen
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months related training or experience in remediation industry
  • IICRC certification required
  • AMRT and WRT certification preferred

  • Ability to communicate professionally with residents, co-workers, and vendors
  • Experience with using moisture meters and air quality testing tools
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and containment procedures
  • Basic knowledge of reconstruction including hanging sheetrock and reinstallation of appliances

Job Duties

  • Perform inspections and assess the extent of contamination
  • Ensure proper containment, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Set up containment barriers and negative air pressure systems to prevent cross-contamination
  • Remove damaged materials, including drywall, insulation, flooring, and other affected building components
  • Adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company protocols to restore healthy indoor environments while minimizing property damage
  • Use moisture meters and air quality tools to map out dampness and evaluate the extent of contamination
  • Reconstruct surfaces after demo including hanging sheetrock and reinstalling cabinets and appliances
  • Completing all job-related tasks assigned by Supervisor
