Job Description

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a respected family-owned company dedicated to serving seniors through a network of over 60 beautiful resort-style communities across the United States. Renowned for its fast-growing dynamic and supportive leadership, RLC focuses on creating an engaging, compassionate, and high-quality living experience for its residents. At the core of its operations, RLC upholds essential values such as Respect, Honesty, Kindness & Compassion, and Service Excellence. These values shape the welcoming and servant-hearted culture that permeates every community and every role within the company.

Joining RLC means becoming part of a tight-knit community committed to four key objectives: maintaining happy employees, ensuring the happiness of residents, achieving full occupancy at the communities, and operating on budget to foster sustainable growth. As an employer, RLC provides not only competitive compensation but also meaningful opportunities for purpose-driven work where every employee can make a tangible difference in the lives of senior residents.

The Relief Kitchen Helper role is a critical position within this compassionate environment. This role plays an essential part in ensuring residents enjoy a positive and pleasing dining experience each day. Relief Kitchen Helpers are tasked with preparing and maintaining an attractive, fresh salad bar that sets a welcoming tone for meals. Beyond food prep, the role involves delivering friendly service in the dining room to assist residents as needed, cleaning and maintaining tables, and ensuring a sanitary, safe environment by meticulously washing and sanitizing tableware, cookware, and kitchen equipment.

Ideal candidates for this role are at least 18 years old, possess the ability to work specific shifts including Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Sundays and Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and can read, speak, and understand basic English. Culinary experience is not a prerequisite, making this a wonderful entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in a supportive, team-oriented setting with room to grow. All new hires must be able to obtain food handler permits within their first two weeks of employment, adhering to local health standards to ensure resident safety.

Working as a Relief Kitchen Helper at RLC offers more than just a paycheck; it provides a chance to join a mission-driven organization where your contributions directly impact senior residents' quality of life. You will be empowered to perform diverse duties ranging from operating dish machines to assist in the dining room, preparing tables, and safely handling kitchen equipment. Furthermore, you’ll be supported by a company that offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage options, paid time off, and a 401(k) with employer match, all designed to foster both professional and personal well-being.

If you are looking to bring a servant's heart to a family-like workplace that truly values its employees and residents alike, the Relief Kitchen Helper position at RLC is an excellent opportunity. Apply today to embark on a rewarding career path with an organization known for its emphasis on kindness, respect, and excellence in service. Compensation for this position starts at $15 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to providing competitive wages alongside meaningful work.
