The Relief Kitchen Helper plays a crucial role within RLC by contributing directly to the dining experience of the residents. The position involves preparing, stocking, and maintaining a fresh and appealing salad bar to enhance meal enjoyment and satisfaction. Beyond food preparation, the Relief Kitchen Helper provides friendly and attentive service to residents in the dining room, supports table maintenance and cleanliness, and helps foster a welcoming atmosphere. An important aspect of the role includes ensuring safety and hygiene standards by carefully washing and sanitizing tableware, cookware, and kitchen equipment. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work in a warm, community-focused environment where every action supports resident comfort and health. Employment is full-time, with competitive compensation and an attractive benefits package valued at a $341 stipend per pay period to be applied toward health, dental, vision, life insurance, and other valuable benefits like disability coverage and identity theft protection. Work schedules require availability Friday and Saturday from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm and Sunday and Monday from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. While no previous culinary experience is required, the role demands a servant heart, basic English communication skills, and the ability to obtain necessary food handler permits promptly.
