Job Description

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a prominent and fast-growing family-owned company dedicated to serving seniors across more than 60 communities nationwide. RLC is not just a workplace; it is a purpose-driven environment where every team member is valued and encouraged to contribute to a culture deeply rooted in servant leadership and core values such as respect, honesty, kindness, compassion, and service excellence. With a focus on creating a warm, resort-style living atmosphere, RLC prioritizes the happiness and well-being of both its residents and employees. Their continual commitment to operational excellence and full occupancy underscores the importance of teamwork and dedication at all levels of the company.

The role of Relief Kitchen Helper at Resort Lifestyle Communities is integral to supporting the daily dining experience of senior residents. This position emphasizes the preparation and upkeep of a fresh and appealing salad bar, which helps kickstart each meal with quality and happiness. The Relief Kitchen Helper also plays a vital role in the dining area by assisting residents with friendly and attentive service while maintaining cleanliness and order by wiping tables and managing dining space needs.

A key aspect of this role involves the proper washing and sanitizing of tableware, cookware, and kitchen equipment following strict safety and hygiene standards, to ensure community safety and a pleasant dining environment. This is a part-time relief position with a specific schedule requirement to work on Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Sundays and Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Being a community-oriented role, it seeks individuals who can contribute to the respectful and heartfelt culture at RLC and support their residents with kindness and professionalism.

No previous culinary experience is necessary, making this an excellent opportunity for those who are eager to begin or continue a career in food service within an environment that values dignity and compassion. The position requires the ability to obtain food handler permits within two weeks of employment, highlighting the commitment to maintaining high food safety standards. Responsibilities include handling kitchen equipment safely, assisting with food preparation areas, managing dish machine operations efficiently, and responding politely to residents’ feedback to uphold service excellence.

RLC offers a competitive compensation package for full-time employees, including a $341 benefit stipend per pay period to apply toward health, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and additional benefits like flexible spending accounts and identity theft protection. Other benefits include paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. Joining RLC means becoming part of a community where happy employees drive happy residents, and every effort contributes to the company’s successful and caring culture.
