Job Description
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a fast-growing, family-owned company dedicated to serving seniors by creating vibrant, resort-style living environments across over 60 communities nationwide. RLC is built on a foundation of strong core values including respect, honesty, kindness & compassion, and service excellence, creating a supportive and close-knit community for both employees and residents alike. By focusing on these guiding principles, RLC ensures a fulfilling and purposeful workplace where team members can thrive while making a meaningful impact on the lives of senior residents. The company is committed to its four essential goals: happy employees, happy residents, full occupancy, and on-budget operations – all working together to maintain a superior quality of life within its communities.
The role of Relief Kitchen Helper at RLC is vital in delivering an exceptional dining experience for senior residents. This position emphasizes both teamwork and service excellence by preparing, stocking, and maintaining a fresh and appealing salad bar that helps start each meal positively. In the dining room, the Relief Kitchen Helper supports residents with friendly service while ensuring the environment remains clean and inviting. A key responsibility is to promote community safety through the proper washing and sanitization of tableware, cookware, and kitchen equipment. Although no previous culinary experience is required, this role demands attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and service.
As a Relief Kitchen Helper, you will operate dishwashing machinery, carefully wash and store all tableware and kitchenware, and maintain cleanliness in food preparation and production areas. You will assist in the dining room by bussing tables, filling water carafes, preparing tables before meals, and delivering room-service orders. Responsibilities also include following safety protocols when using kitchen appliances and tools, responding politely to residents' food comments or concerns, and performing additional support tasks such as trash removal. This role not only contributes to the smooth daily operation of the dining services but also helps create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that enhances the quality of life for senior residents.
RLC values its team members and offers competitive hourly compensation ranging from $15 to $16 per hour for this position, alongside a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. These benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance options, life insurance, short- and long-term disability plans, as well as financial benefits like HSA, FSA, LSA accounts, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with employer match. Employees also have flexible access to their pay and receive a $341 benefit stipend per pay period to allocate toward various insurance and protection plans. Working at RLC means joining a purpose-driven company where your efforts directly contribute to a caring community and where you can grow personally and professionally in a beautiful, resort-style environment.
