Job Description
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a respected and fast-growing family-owned company with a commitment to serving seniors through its network of more than 60 beautifully maintained communities nationwide. RLC operates with a core set of values that guide every aspect of the organization: Respect, Honesty, Kindness & Compassion, and Service Excellence. These values foster a supportive, servant-hearted community culture that emphasizes both employee satisfaction and resident happiness. This culture is supported by clear goals to ensure happy employees, happy residents, full occupancy, and on-budget operations. RLC offers a resort-style living environment that feels welcoming and purposeful for both staff and residents.
The Relief Kitchen Helper plays a vital role in delivering a positive dining experience for residents of Resort Lifestyle Communities. This is a part-time role requiring availability on Friday and Saturday mornings and Sunday and Monday afternoons, with a focus on maintaining a fresh and appealing salad bar as a key component of meals. The Relief Kitchen Helper also supports dining room service by assisting residents in a friendly manner and keeping tables clean and inviting. Beyond customer interaction, this position is responsible for maintaining hygiene and safety in food handling areas, including washing and sanitizing tableware, cookware, and kitchen equipment, thus contributing to a safe and welcoming community environment.
No prior culinary experience is required, making this an accessible entry point for individuals who are motivated by a servant-hearted mission and are eager to support a senior living community. The Relief Kitchen Helper must be at least 18 years old and able to work specific hours on weekends and Mondays. Additionally, the ability to read, speak, and understand basic English is essential, and the successful candidate will need to obtain food handler permits as required by local health regulations within the first two weeks of employment.
Working at RLC means joining a team that values each member's contribution to the community's overall well-being. The company provides competitive compensation and benefits packages, including paid time off and a 401(k) plan with employer match for full-time employees. Additional benefits include a $341 benefit stipend per pay period to be used towards health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, as well as access to health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, accident and hospital indemnity plans, legal and identity theft protection, and the option to access pay any time. This combination of meaningful work, employee support, and comprehensive benefits makes RLC an excellent place for individuals who want to make a difference every day in a caring, resort-like environment.
