Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a culinary or kitchen environment
  • Certification or willingness to obtain food safety certification
  • Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • Basic math and measuring skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to sanitation standards
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Previous history in the kitchen or a relevant culinary setting
  • Deep understanding of food preparation principles and diverse cooking methods
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is vital
  • Obtain certification in food safety, if not yet achieved
  • Primary mathematical skills and numeral counting proficiencies
  • Demonstrates excellence in communication and teamwork abilities

Job Duties

  • Follow production guidelines and standardized recipes to cook and serve meals
  • Arrange workstations with all the essential ingredients and equipment needed
  • Handle ingredients by cutting, trimming, measuring, mixing, and similar actions
  • Employ safe practices while using a variety of kitchen tools and appliances, such as knives, ovens, stovetops, and mixers
  • Cook and prepare meals using a combination of techniques including baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming
  • Serve and plate food following set criteria to ensure visual standards are met
  • Adhere to the specified food safety procedures and store food appropriately
  • Keep kitchen areas, implements, and utensils sanitized and free from pathogens
  • Offer outstanding customer care and exude a positive outlook
  • Observe and uphold Aramark's safety and sanitation standards
  • Safeguard the well-being of company resources
