Job Description

Wells Enterprises is a renowned manufacturing company known for its commitment to quality and innovation. As a leader in the food manufacturing industry, Wells Enterprises, a Ferrero Company, focuses on producing high-quality products that meet and exceed customer expectations. The company fosters a culture of excellence, sustainability, and teamwork, offering a dynamic and supportive work environment for its employees. Known for its strong corporate values and dedication to continuous improvement, Wells Enterprises stands as a premier employer within the manufacturing functional area, emphasizing operational efficiency and technological advancement.

The role available at Wells Enterprises is pivotal within the manufacturing division, centered around reliability leadership. As the Reliability Manager, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive oversight of all reliability functions within the facility, ensuring alignment with the corporate reliability standards established by Wells Enterprises. This leadership position encompasses managing a team directly comprising reliability technicians and lubrication technicians, fostering a culture of proactive and preventive maintenance aimed at optimizing equipment and system performance.

The Reliability Manager plays a critical role in driving the equipment and system reliability initiatives from concept to execution. This includes leading reliability initiatives collaboratively with maintenance and cross-functional stakeholders to continuously improve the preventive maintenance programs through a structured Management of Change (MOC) process. A key component of this role involves the implementation and advancement of predictive maintenance technologies such as condition-based monitoring, vibration analysis, infrared thermography, and oil and lubrication analysis, all aimed at boosting operational efficiency and reducing downtime.

The successful candidate will also be instrumental in facilitating root cause analysis (RCA) efforts, leading teams to identify failure modes accurately, and developing corrective actions to enhance asset reliability. Serving as a technical subject matter expert on manufacturing equipment and reliability best practices, the Reliability Manager will provide valuable guidance and support to operations personnel and internal teams.

Collaboration with external vendors, suppliers, and engineering groups is another vital aspect of this role, particularly in supporting equipment enhancements through design changes and modifications. Monitoring emerging industry technologies and methodologies forms an ongoing responsibility, contributing to the continuous development of the facility's preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Beyond the technical management, the Reliability Manager oversees work schedules, labor utilization, and payroll activities for their teams, aligning resources efficiently to meet budgetary and operational goals. The role also demands strict adherence to company policies and compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

In addition to managing daily activities, the role includes building the reliability and maintenance team’s capabilities through training, coaching, and mentoring. Promoting a culture that prioritizes reliability-centered maintenance, continuous improvement, and employee development is a critical facet of the position. Utilization of various computer systems and applications like Microsoft Office, CMMS, Lawson, WHIMs, and Oracle is essential for data management, performance analysis, and documentation.

This role reports to the Senior Manager of Reliability and directly supervises reliability and lubrication technicians. Wells Enterprises values candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated leadership in managing and resolving conflicts, as well as leading change initiatives within an industrial maintenance environment. The company is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, supporting diversity and inclusion across all levels of employment.
