The team members at Mazuma consistently exemplify a positive and fun attitude, which is reflected in their customer interactions, workplace environment, and even the company logo. This welcoming culture makes Mazuma not just a credit union but also a supportive workplace where individuals can grow and thrive.

Team members are expected to be proactive collaborators who exhibit punctuality, dependability, strong people skills, and a willingness to make thoughtful decisions. The credit union fosters a culture of continuous learning and growth, encouraging employees to develop their skills and help others grow professionally as well. This dynamic environment benefits from employees who bring creativity and progressive mindsets, enabling Mazuma to innovate and proactively solve problems while aligning with the team’s overall goals.

Employees also enjoy 40 hours of paid volunteer time annually and have access to a traditional and Roth 401(k) plan with company matching contributions. Medical, dental, and vision benefits are available to new employees starting the first of the month after their hire date. Additional wellness credits, company-paid life and disability insurance, maternity and menopause support programs, an employee assistance program, and an on-site gym at the headquarters are part of the comprehensive benefits package. Other perks include discretionary stakeholder bonuses, attractive interest rates on team member accounts, and discounts on consumer and mortgage loans, making Mazuma a highly attractive employer for those seeking a fulfilling career in the financial services industry.

The role of Relationship Advisor at Mazuma Credit Union is a critical position focused on delivering exceptional service and fostering strong relationships with members. A Relationship Advisor is more than just a financial guide; they also perform essential branch functions such as transaction processing, account opening for consumer, fiduciary, and business accounts, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The position involves proactive engagement with members by welcoming them, listening to their needs, and offering personalized product recommendations such as loans, credit cards, and online banking services. Additionally, the advisor is responsible for documenting transactions accurately and resolving member concerns with professionalism, escalating more complex issues when necessary.

Continuously staying informed about Mazuma’s products, services, and promotions, as well as participating in ongoing training programs, is a key aspect of professional development for this role. Compliance with regulations like the Bank Secrecy Act and company policies, maintaining confidentiality, and contributing positively to the branch's performance and teamwork are also vital responsibilities. This role demands professionalism in appearance and behavior while supporting team members and operational tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day branch operations.
