With offices strategically situated in Miami, FL, Easton, PA, and San Antonio, TX, the company provides an environment that truly feels like home to all who join the team. Bakerly's product offerings are a celebration of French baking traditions, featuring delectable items such as French crepes, golden chocolate croissants, fluffy pancakes, and a wide selection of exceptional French brioches. These products are crafted with the utmost care and quality, ensuring that every bite satisfies customers seeking authentic tastes. The company prides itself not only on its product excellence but also on fostering a welcoming culture that supports growth and innovation within the food industry.
The role of Regulatory & Compliance Specialist at Bakerly is integral to maintaining the company’s commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory adherence. This full-time, on-premises position is based in Easton, PA, and offers competitive compensation along with performance-based bonus incentives, reflecting the value Bakerly places on expertise and dedication. The Regulatory & Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all Bakerly products, processes, and external partnerships comply with relevant food safety regulations, certification requirements, and customer-specific regulatory expectations across multiple markets, including the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Functioning as a technical expert, the Specialist will be deeply involved in supporting the company’s corporate regulatory compliance programs. This includes managing labeling compliance processes, overseeing external certification management, and continuously monitoring regulatory changes that could impact the company’s operations. In collaboration with departments such as Research & Development, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Sales, and Plant Quality, the Specialist is tasked with integrating regulatory requirements into product development, supply chain activities, and commercial projects. This role demands a detailed understanding of food safety standards, regulatory frameworks, and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, from technical teams to external regulatory bodies.
Key responsibilities entail the regulatory review of packaging and labeling claims, ensuring nutrition information accuracy, managing label approval processes across multiple countries, and supporting new product development along with package changes from a regulatory standpoint. The Specialist will also contribute significantly to nutrition and product information management by generating ingredient statements, validating nutritional data, and maintaining product information consistency across platforms. Furthermore, they are involved in external compliance efforts, supporting third-party manufacturing operations, managing certifications such as SMETA ethical sourcing, non-GMO, kosher, and CSR initiatives, and coordinating audits and documentation management.
In addition to regulatory compliance and certification duties, the role includes important functions such as monitoring emerging food regulations and analyzing potential risks affecting ingredients, labeling, and supply chain compliance. The Specialist will maintain and steward regulatory documentation systems, ensuring records are audit-ready, accessible, and accurate. Proficiency in various regulatory platforms like Safety Chain, TraceGains, and Repositrack is essential for the management of these compliance systems. Overall, this position offers an exciting opportunity to bring regulatory expertise to a rapidly growing food brand dedicated to quality, safety, and innovation.
