The Regs Tank Fab Machine Operator position is located at Eaton's Nacogdoches, TX facility, operating on the second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime at times. Job Requirements

  • Lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials with or without accommodations
  • Adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (gloves, over the elbow sleeves, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe shoes, metatarsal guards)
  • Work efficiently in hot environments and tolerate loud noises
  • Ability to operate hoists and powered industrial trucks

Job Duties

  • Set up, adjust, and operate various welding machines, presses, shears, brakes, flanges, and expanders
  • Perform tasks across work centers including bottom welding with perforated LVB holes, projection welding with LVB holes, seam welding with flanging, layout with rod stacking, horn presses, hanging, cover punching, paint booth operations, and tank unhang procedures
  • Receive training in safe chemical handling, proper waste disposal, and adherence to safety, quality, and operating instructions
  • Position, hang, and remove transformer tanks and associated parts from a powered overhead conveyor line
  • Manually handle medium-heavy weight materials and operate hoists and material handling equipment including powered industrial trucks
  • Monitor and maintain automatic paint booth, manually apply paint to hard-to-reach parts, add paint as needed, conduct titration tests for chemical balance, and verify paint cure and oven temperatures
  • Conduct routine machine maintenance, follow specified lists such as oven pick list, PQP, VOP, IDP, and verbal instructions
  • Operate welding equipment including MIG wire feed and use manual and powered hand tools as well as simple measuring devices
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the facility
  • Participate in problem-solving processes to improve efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Achieve and maintain target production rates, ensuring efficient operations
  • Adhere to safety protocols, efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies
  • Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned
