We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Shift Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Nursing Department Director, the Registered Nurse Shift Manager plays a pivotal role in coordinating nursing services and staff activities during their assigned shift. This role requires the application of sound nursing principles alongside organizational and leadership abilities to ensure that patient care is appropriate for the age and developmental stage of each individual served. The Shift Manager is responsible for assessing staffing needs, collaborating closely with the staffing coordinator, Nurse Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor to guarantee that patient care requirements are fully met throughout the shift. Beyond staffing coordination, the Shift Manager supports the Nursing Department Director with various administrative tasks, contributing to the seamless operation of the nursing department.
This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $53.73 to $85.94, with exact pay commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. Job Requirements
- Current California RN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification
- Two to five years acute nursing experience or equivalent
- Managerial experience preferred
- Ability to work full time during day shifts
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Strong organizational and leadership capabilities

Job Duties
- Utilize nursing process and leadership skills to coordinate staff services during shifts
- Assure patient care appropriateness to age and developmental levels
- Assess unit staffing needs and collaborate with staffing coordinator, Nurse Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor
- Support Nursing Department Director with various administrative duties
- Ensure patient needs are met by coordinating nursing activities
- Oversee and manage nursing staff performance and compliance during the shift
- Facilitate communication between nursing staff and other departments
