With over 100 years of dedicated service, GSMC provides sophisticated, personalized, and emergency medical care to the residents of Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. The hospital prides itself on utilizing some of the most advanced robotic technologies, including the MAKO and Da Vinci robotic systems, to offer robust general surgery procedures. Additionally, GSMC's cancer center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer and features a state-of-the-art Breast Center, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to excellence in patient care and clinical outcomes. As a part of a dynamic health network, GSMC offers an environment rich with opportunity, innovation, and professional growth for healthcare practitioners eager to make a difference.
The role of Professional Staff Nurse at GSMC is pivotal within this healthcare environment. This full-time, night-shift nursing position offers qualified candidates a salary of up to $20,000 SOB (Salary on Board) paid over 24 months. Nurses in this role are responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing care for designated patients under the supervision of the Director or designee. The position requires a blend of direct and indirect patient care duties that ensure the holistic well-being of patients is addressed from physical, psychosocial, and educational perspectives.
A Professional Staff Nurse at GSMC conducts comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their physical, psychosocial, educational, and developmental needs. Using assessment data, the nurse develops detailed written plans of care. This role includes instructing, guiding, and supporting patients and their families in managing health conditions and procedures, as well as collaborating closely with other staff members to maintain continuity of care. Implementation of nursing care plans encompasses diligent communication and documentation of patient activities, needs, and assessments. Continuous evaluation of the patient response to interventions and teaching is a crucial function, ensuring care plans remain effective and patient-centered.
Working at GSMC means joining a healthcare community that values compassion and innovation equally. The hospital fosters a supportive work environment that encourages professional growth, continuing education, and work-life balance. Nurses at GSMC benefit from a comprehensive package that supports their health, career development, and personal well-being. If you are a licensed Registered Nurse with a passion for nursing and a desire to work where your contributions matter, this role provides the ideal platform to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives while advancing your healthcare career.
