With a workforce of over 1,200 dedicated employees, Bethesda is committed to fostering an environment where talented and caring individuals can thrive professionally while making a meaningful impact in the community. As a respected name in the healthcare and long-term care industry, Bethesda emphasizes not only the delivery of excellent resident care but also the growth and well-being of its staff by offering comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.
Bethesda operates with a mission to support and improve the health and quality of life for its residents. The company culture encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning, ensuring that every team member feels empowered to contribute to the organization's goals. Bethesda offers a range of benefits, including 403b retirement plans, daily pay options, bonuses, holiday pay, and career advancement opportunities. Additionally, regular status employees, both full and part-time, have access to medical, dental, vision, prescription, and life insurance coverage, underscoring Bethesda's commitment to employee welfare.
The current role being offered is for a Registered Nurse (RN) who will play a vital part in maintaining the highest standards of resident care within Bethesda's long-term care settings. The RN team leader will be responsible for overseeing the staff allocation according to policy guidelines, ensuring a balanced distribution of duties among team members, and fostering a cooperative work environment. This leadership position involves completing routine rounds to assess resident needs and care quality, managing staff performance, and addressing any behavioral or performance issues sensitively and constructively.
In this role, the RN will be expected to actively participate in direct patient care, respond promptly to residents' requests, and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed. The RN team leader will also coordinate care plans by reviewing and updating resident goals and interventions in collaboration with charge nurses. Documentation responsibilities include daily nursing labor records, monthly QAPI evaluations, and monitoring pharmacy recommendations, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
Effective communication skills are crucial as the RN will regularly report to the Director of Nursing, participate in team leader meetings twice monthly, and attend monthly CNA meetings. They must demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, handle crisis situations professionally, and facilitate a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents. The position demands physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods, lift and move heavy objects safely with assistance, and perform detailed documentation.
Offering a competitive salary range between $63,943 and $106,407 annually, this position provides a rewarding career path for experienced nurses passionate about long-term care. Licensed RNs with prior supervisory experience in long-term care are preferred, underscoring the importance of leadership and clinical expertise in this role. Bethesda's inclusive culture and extensive benefits package make this an attractive opportunity for nursing professionals seeking career growth and a supportive workplace.
