Job Requirements
- Active California RN license
- basic life support certification
- advanced cardiovascular life support certification
- pediatric advanced life support within 6 months of hire
- completion of approved critical care training
- minimum of 2 years critical care experience within past 8 years
- 1200 hours per year in critical care setting
- 1-2 years managerial experience
- ability to work 36 hours per week in 12-hour day shifts
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree
- training in critical care nursing
- superior arrhythmia recognition skills
- successful completion of critical care medical and arrhythmia tests with at least 85% scores
- hold national certification for higher-level shift managers
- experience in critical care nursing
- leadership and managerial experience
Job Duties
- Oversee nursing operations during assigned shifts
- plan and organize nursing practice in the ICU
- implement and evaluate nursing care delivery
- prescribe and delegate nursing care tasks
- act as a clinical resource for patient care plans
- support nursing personnel development
- ensure adherence to hospital policies and protocols
