Job Description
DaVita is a leading healthcare company specializing in kidney care and dialysis services. Headquartered in the United States, DaVita has established itself as a clinical leader dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients with chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease (ESRD). With a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care through innovative practices and a compassionate approach, DaVita operates a broad network of outpatient dialysis centers as well as inpatient services in hospital settings. The company prides itself on fostering a strong sense of community and belonging amongst its teammates, emphasizing that it is "a place where I belong." DaVita actively promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion, recruiting and hiring without regard to race, national origin, religion, age, sex, gender identity, disability, or other protected characteristics.
The Clinical Coordinator position at DaVita is a vital role focused on leading inpatient dialysis care for patients suffering from ESRD and chronic kidney disease within a hospital environment. This position combines the delivery of direct patient care with clinical leadership responsibilities, making it suitable for a registered nurse who is passionate about both patient outcomes and team development. The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating comprehensive care for ESRD patients, ensuring that all clinical aspects such as lab tracking, vital signs, weight, and treatment outcomes are meticulously monitored and managed. In addition to patient care, this role involves supervising and supporting a team of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), providing guidance, mentorship, and training to enhance the quality and efficacy of care.
As part of the team, the Clinical Coordinator maintains strict adherence to clinical and regulatory standards, ensuring that every dialysis treatment meets the highest quality guidelines. Flexibility is a crucial aspect of the role, as the Clinical Coordinator will float between various facilities and work a non-traditional schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This flexibility supports the overarching goal of seamless care delivery across multiple locations. DaVita offers a $15,000 bonus for new teammates joining in this role, reflecting its commitment to attracting skilled professionals who share its dedication to kidney care.
The role requires relevant nursing experience, particularly in dialysis care, with a minimum of 18 months' RN experience including over six months specifically in dialysis. Professionals with experience in critical care units such as ICU, CCU, ER, or Med/Surg are preferred and would find this role a natural progression in their nursing career. Educational qualifications include an ADN at minimum, though a BSN is preferred. Candidates must also hold a current RN license in the practicing state, have CPR certification, and be approved for Charge RN readiness. Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook are necessary for documentation and communication tasks. This position also requires passing a pre-employment color vision test.
DaVita offers an attractive total rewards package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off with PTO cash-out options, family and mental health support programs such as employee assistance programs (EAP), Headspace meditation app, backup care for children and elders, parental leave, and pet insurance. Paid training and clinical development opportunities ensure continuous career growth and professional advancement. This role offers candidates the opportunity to be a part of a community-focused company committed to transforming kidney care through compassionate and innovative nursing leadership. Join DaVita and contribute to delivering life-sustaining care in a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment.
