Job Description
Bartlett Regional Hospital is a well-established healthcare institution located in Alaska, renowned for delivering comprehensive and compassionate medical services to the community. As a vital regional hospital, it offers a broad spectrum of healthcare specialties, supported by a team of dedicated professionals who prioritize patient care, safety, and wellness. The hospital is committed to maintaining the highest standards of business practices and professional ethics while ensuring compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws. Bartlett Regional Hospital emphasizes creating a supportive work environment, fostering professional development, and encouraging community involvement, making it an exceptional workplace and a beautiful place to live and work.
The role of House Supervisor within Bartlett Regional Hospital's Nursing Administration team carries significant responsibilities central to the effective operation of the hospital during assigned shifts. This full-time position involves overseeing and coordinating patient care activities, guiding both professional and non-professional nursing personnel to ensure seamless care delivery. The House Supervisor serves as the critical link between management and the nursing team, stepping in to represent department managers and hospital administration in their absence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, effective management skills, and a commitment to continuous quality improvement principles.
This position offers a competitive starting pay rate of $51.04 per hour for external hires, with step placement and pay rate determined based on relevant experience. Internal hires will have pay rates set according to applicable personnel rules or union contract terms. The House Supervisor plays a pivotal role in planning shift staffing based on patient census, care needs, and staff competencies, while also directing responses to emergent or life-threatening situations. In addition to direct patient care oversight, the role requires participation in staff development and evaluation, involvement in hospital committees and teams, and adherence to confidentiality and ethical standards at all times.
This is a rewarding opportunity for nursing professionals who have at least three years of current clinical nursing experience, preferably with previous supervisory or management experience, to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic hospital environment. Bartlett Regional Hospital encourages applicants who are passionate about nursing leadership and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative setting. Those who join the team will benefit from a strong sense of community, access to continuing education opportunities, and the chance to contribute to the hospital's mission of providing excellent health services to the region.
