The role of Radiology Procedural Nurse at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, positions the successful candidate at one of the largest and most advanced imaging centers in North America. This fast-paced, high-acuity environment includes 15 imaging locations, with specialized pediatric practices and extensive CT and MRI resources. In this role, nurses provide sedation and monitoring for a diverse array of imaging procedures while caring for patients across all age groups and acuity levels. The position is characterized by a high degree of autonomy and collaboration, with nurses working closely alongside highly skilled peers and physician partners to deliver evidence-based care.

The Radiology Procedural Nurse is accountable for coordinating nursing care, educating patients and families, and facilitating transitions of care consistent with professional nursing standards. This role includes duties such as planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care and serving as a leader through mentoring, teaching, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The nurse will typically work between 40 and 72 hours over 8- and 12-hour day or night shifts, including a rotating weekend and holiday schedule. The role may require occasional driving of a personal vehicle as business needs dictate.
