The hospital serves as the region’s leading referral center for advanced stroke treatment and was the first in the state to earn the Joint Commission certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. HCA HealthONE includes multiple care facilities within the Denver metro area, such as acute care hospitals, pediatric centers, rehabilitation hospitals, urgent care clinics, mental health campuses, and home and hospice care services, all working together to provide a continuum of care tailored to meet diverse patient needs.
This job opportunity is for a Registered Nurse Med Surg Facility Float Pool position at HCA HealthONE Swedish. The role offers an hourly wage ranging from $39.20 to $57.29, with facility float pool fixed premium rates and shift differentials available. The position is unique in that it enables nurses to float across various units within the hospital, including acute rehabilitation, medical acute care, med tele, surgical cardiology, neuro trauma, ortho/spine, oncology, and multi trauma units. This floating role requires a highly adaptable nurse who can demonstrate competence in multiple specialties and provide patient-centered care that addresses the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and educational needs of diverse patient populations.
As a Registered Nurse in the Facility Float Pool, you will be empowered to influence patient care decisions through collaborative relationships with your direct manager and participation in hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. The nurse must demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills relevant to the population served and perform duties consistent with professional nursing standards and HCA HealthONE Swedish's philosophy of care.
The ideal candidate will hold current BLS and ACLS certifications, possess an active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado or have an active multistate nursing license, and have graduated from a certified School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred. Additionally, two or more years of inpatient acute care experience is strongly desired. This position does not require travel outside the facility, as it is confined to the Swedish campus, making it an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking stability with varied clinical exposure.
