Job Description

MetroWest Medical Center is a well-established healthcare organization that has been serving the community since 1893. Comprised of Framingham Union Hospital and Leonard Morse Hospital, MetroWest Medical Center provides a wide range of comprehensive health services. Framingham Union Hospital offers advanced cardiac care, high-tech cancer treatments, maternity care including a Special Care Level IIB nursery, and 24-hour emergency services. Leonard Morse Hospital is uniquely dedicated to behavioral health, focusing on the mental health needs of the community in Natick. Recognized by the Joint Commission with a Gold Seal of Approval, MetroWest Medical Center demonstrates its commitment to quality, safety, and effective patient care. The hospital's cardiac team has earned national distinction as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention and ranked among the top 5% in the nation for coronary interventional procedures in 2023.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, community-focused healthcare environment that values professional growth, innovation, and exemplary patient outcomes. As a key leadership position supporting the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), this role is responsible for leading and supporting all nursing and designated patient care functions across the hospital. The individual will be charged with assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices at the unit level. Responsibility extends to ensuring clinical staff competency, managing patient care resources efficiently, and maintaining high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care. The role demands a 24/7 commitment for the manager's assigned areas, requiring strong operational management skills and a leadership presence at all times.

The ideal candidate will hold an active and current registered nurse license in the state of practice, demonstrating highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership ability, and familiarity with hospital operations. This role expects the ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing, fostering a positive work environment and enhancing team performance.

MetroWest Medical Center takes pride in fostering a supportive work environment where professional development and work-life balance are prioritized. The hospital offers competitive compensation ranging approximately from $42.30 to $84.87 per hour, with wages commensurate to qualifications and experience. Additionally, the institution provides an attractive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, retirement savings plans with employer match, paid time off, continuing education support, flexible spending accounts, and employee assistance programs.

Joining MetroWest Medical Center means becoming part of a dedicated team committed to improving the health of the community. The role not only offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient care but also to grow one’s career in a reputable, community-centered hospital system that values innovation, quality, and compassionate care.
