Job Requirements
- Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence
- Minimum education: academic degree in nursing
- Minimum experience: 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse or related position
Job Qualifications
- Academic degree in nursing
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred
- Proven leadership ability in a hospital environment
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in nursing management or full-time charge nurse position
- Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for nursing
Job Duties
- Provide leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer
- Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing practice at the unit level
- Assume 24/7 responsibility for manager’s assigned areas
- Support CNO in ensuring high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
- Manage competency of clinical staff and resource allocation related to patient care
- Serve as role model and advocate for the nursing profession
- Perform related duties as required
