The RN Manager or Full-Time Days position at Abrazo Health Network is a pivotal management role that oversees the operations of single or multiple nursing departments. This role entails managing day-to-day functions, directing and supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory standards. The RN Manager is responsible for fostering a high-performing team environment, conducting staff orientation and training, and evaluating team members to promote professional growth and superior patient care. Budget management, including monitoring expenditures and maintaining fiscal responsibility, is also a key aspect of this position. The RN Manager ensures that individualized, comprehensive nursing care is delivered according to patient needs, encompassing their physical, psychological, spiritual, social, and educational requirements.

This role requires active participation in developing and managing departmental budgets, managing timekeeping and payroll data, and maintaining a state of survey readiness through leadership and committee involvement. The RN Manager is integral in addressing ethical concerns, maintaining confidentiality, and resolving any arising staffing or clinical issues. Additional responsibilities include scheduling and staffing management, guiding staff education and leadership development, and supporting the Director with special projects. Candidates for this role must demonstrate independent decision-making abilities, a high degree of accuracy, and the capacity to work effectively under deadlines. Familiarity with computer systems and strong communication skills are essential for frequent interaction with employees, physicians, customers, and community members.

The RN Manager position requires a nursing degree from an accredited school or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, with a minimum of three years of relevant clinical nursing experience. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and at least two years of management or supervisory experience. The candidate must hold a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Arizona, CPR certification, and applicable advanced certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP depending on the clinical department. Specialized experience in cardiovascular or nursery care is highly valued. Additionally, preferred certifications such as CCRN, PCCN, CEN, or other relevant specialty certifications will strengthen the candidate’s profile.
