Employees are supported to thrive individually and as part of a collective effort aimed at exceeding past achievements. This culture extends into all facets, including nursing—a key component of the care delivery system.

The role offered through the TempForce Nursing Collaborative at Vanderbilt University Medical Center provides a unique opportunity for registered nurses who seek flexible, short-term assignments with premium pay and optional health benefits. The TempForce Nursing Collaborative supports nurse staffing needs throughout the VUMC Health System by allowing nurses to take on 13-week assignments within specific units. This model resembles a travel nursing role but is situated within the Vanderbilt system, ensuring nurses are integrated into a patient-focused, safe, and efficient care environment.

Specifically, the position highlighted is for a registered nurse (RN) to work in the Emergency Department (ED) at Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital in Clarksville, Tennessee. This position offers shifts on both day and night schedules, with premium pay rates ranging from $50 per hour during the day to $65 per hour for night shifts. Nurses in this role typically work between 36 to 40 hours per week, with assignments that may include floating between units in the hospital. The collaborative staffing model prioritizes critical scheduling needs, including coverage during weekends and holidays, to maintain excellent patient care quality and operational efficiency.

The nurse in this role will apply the nursing process to manage complex patient care comprehensively, develop individualized patient education plans, and collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. The role requires effective communication, conflict resolution skills, and a dedication to evidence-based practice and continuous professional growth in line with Board of Nursing standards. This position suits nurses who are adaptable, skilled in clinical assessment, and passionate about enhancing patient outcomes within a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment.

Overall, the TempForce Nursing Collaborative at Vanderbilt University Medical Center represents a forward-thinking approach to nursing employment, offering competitive compensation, professional development, and the satisfaction of working within a renowned health system committed to changing lives through excellence in healthcare.
