Advanced Chenega Services, LLC is a distinguished service provider collaborating closely with the San Diego Naval Medical Center to deliver high-quality health care coordination across military and veteran health systems. Known for its dedication to enhancing health service delivery, Advanced Chenega Services specializes in supporting the Department of Defense Military Health System and the Veterans Affairs Health System through a range of comprehensive, patient-focused health coordination services. This partnership focuses on ensuring that service members and veterans receive timely and appropriate care, particularly in specialized areas such as vision health. As an integral part of military health support, the company fosters cooperation among various health care providers, facilitating seamless patient transitions within different military and federal medical facilities both domestically and overseas. With a commitment to excellence and patient-centered services, Advanced Chenega Services, LLC stands as a pivotal entity in the healthcare continuum for military personnel and veterans alike.
The role of the Vision Care Coordinator at Advanced Chenega Services, LLC, stationed at the San Diego Naval Medical Center, is a specialized position central to coordinating vision health care within the DoD Military Health System and the VA Health System. This role demands an experienced healthcare professional who can provide onsite support to manage and streamline care for individuals facing vision-threatening conditions such as ocular trauma and other significant vision loss injuries. The coordinator ensures that affected service members and beneficiaries receive quick and appropriate intervention by orchestrating the efforts of vision care specialists and overseeing patient navigation throughout the healthcare system.
In addition to addressing urgent vision care needs, the Vision Care Coordinator manages care coordination for high-risk conditions like retinopathy of prematurity, expanding their support across a nationwide network. This network includes military hospitals, clinics, and VA facilities across the United States and abroad, aiming to assist with ocular care management for military personnel and their families. Key responsibilities include managing referrals, facilitating patient movement among Military Treatment Facilities and allied healthcare providers, and conducting follow-ups to monitor patient outcomes and healthcare performance metrics.
This position requires frequent travel within the Continental United States and the National Capitol Region to attend essential meetings, conferences, and training sessions, ensuring the coordinator remains at the forefront of vision care advancements and military health system protocols. The role requires nuanced knowledge of military health system operations, electronic health records, and specific ophthalmologic and optometric patient needs. With a salary offering up to $60.00 per hour, this job opportunity presents a fulfilling career path for registered nurses or health care coordinators with significant experience seeking to make a substantial impact on vision health care coordination within the veteran and military communities. The Vision Care Coordinator role is ideal for professionals dedicated to improving health outcomes through meticulous coordination, compassionate patient support, and collaborative network-building across federal healthcare institutions.
