DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is the largest hospital within the Detroit Medical Center network, renowned for delivering high-quality and comprehensive healthcare services to the community it serves. The hospital specializes in a wide array of medical fields including a comprehensive heart center, cancer care, gerontology, emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, and cosmetic services. Sinai-Grace Hospital also operates more than 21 outpatient care sites and ambulatory surgery centers through Wayne and Oakland Counties. This opportunity is for a Clinical Care Coordinator at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital, a pivotal role designed for experienced nursing professionals who are ready to embrace leadership responsibilities within a dynamic team environment. This full-time, night-shift position comes with an attractive sign-on bonus of up to $10,000, contingent upon relevant experience. The Clinical Care Coordinator not only fulfills essential nursing duties but also takes on added leadership tasks such as coordinating the care delivery team and facilitating staff scheduling and patient care prioritization. The role involves collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to resolve unit-based issues and contribute to process improvements, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.

The Clinical Care Coordinator serves as both a resource and lead for nursing personnel, guiding clinical practices and assisting clinical managers in organizing staff development initiatives and meetings. Key responsibilities include overseeing staff schedules to maintain optimal nurse-patient ratios, supporting shared decision-making processes among nursing teams, and enhancing unit throughput to reduce patient length of stay. This leader also plays an instrumental role in staff recruitment, retention, mentoring, and performance evaluations, thereby fostering a supportive and efficient working environment.

Commitment to professional development is a hallmark of this role, with the Clinical Care Coordinator actively engaging in process improvement, peer review activities, and assisting in the establishment of departmental policies and standards. Candidates should have an Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, Registered Nurse licensure in Michigan, and between one to two years of progressively increasing leadership experience. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assumes shift responsibilities for the care delivery team
