Job Description

Abrazo West Campus is a prominent acute care hospital located in the West Valley communities, known for delivering exceptional and comprehensive healthcare services. With a 200-bed capacity, this facility offers advanced medical technologies such as the da Vinci Xi surgical platform and Loop-X system to support a broad range of specialized medical fields including orthopedics, obstetrics, cardiovascular care, and a Level I Trauma Center. Their commitment to quality patient care and innovation makes them a leading choice for both patients and healthcare professionals seeking a dynamic and supportive work environment. Abrazo West Campus also prides itself on fostering professional growth among its staff by providing extensive career development and continuing education opportunities, which aligns perfectly with its mission to be a pillar of health and wellness within the community.

The role of a Registered Nurse (RN) at Abrazo West Campus encompasses crucial coordination and support functions within a specific clinic unit. This position serves as the key liaison between various internal and external stakeholders such as pre-hospital providers, medical and nursing staff, and hospital administration, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration. Central to the role is the responsibility for managing day-to-day activities including the scheduling of unit nurses, staff training, and the development of processes to ensure regulatory compliance. A key focus is patient care, where the RN provides nursing care that adheres to prescribed standards and supervises other nursing staff including LPNs and CNAs by delegating tasks based on patient needs and staff competencies.

Furthermore, this position demands strong leadership skills in employee management including staffing decisions, orientation of new team members, and coordination of competency checklists to maintain quality care standards continuously. The role also has a significant customer service component, tasked with monitoring and improving staff professionalism and response to patient and customer feedback to promote a positive healthcare experience. Abrazo West Campus offers a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 based on eligibility, demonstrating their commitment to attracting top nursing talent.

The work environment at Abrazo West Campus is designed to support its team members both professionally and personally with a comprehensive benefits package. Employees benefit from medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching, generous paid time off, and health savings accounts. Additional perks include employee assistance and discount programs, and a range of voluntary benefits such as pet insurance, legal insurance, accident and critical illness coverage, long-term care, and both elder and childcare services. Recognizing the high demands and stress of nursing, this environment values strong interpersonal and communication skills, independent decision-making in critical situations, and the ability to implement change effectively.

Joining Abrazo West Campus not only means engaging in a meaningful nursing career but also becoming part of a compassionate and innovative healthcare community where professional growth and work-life balance are prioritized. This role is ideal for skilled nursing professionals ready to make an impactful difference while growing in a supportive and resource-rich environment.
