Job Description

Freedom Square of Seminole is a distinguished upscale Senior Living Community located in the picturesque surroundings of Seminole, Florida. Situated on a sprawling 15-acre campus featuring two serene ponds, this community is designed to resemble a charming town square, complete with paved brick streets and a welcoming gazebo that promotes a warm, neighborhood feel. The community offers an array of elegantly appointed residential options tailored to provide comfort and convenience to its senior residents. Located just a short drive from Lake Seminole and the stunning Gulf Coast beaches, this retirement community is an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful lifestyle enriched with natural beauty and modern amenities.

As a life care community, Freedom Square of Seminole stands out by promoting the concept of "aging in place." This means that residents can transition seamlessly through different levels of care as their healthcare needs evolve. Starting from independent living, residents have access to assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services all within the same community. This integrated approach offers peace of mind to residents and their families, knowing that quality care and support are readily available without the disruption of relocating.

The Culinary Services department at Freedom Square is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused professional to join their team. This position is tailored for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, engaging environment and are passionate about providing exceptional service. The role focuses on evaluating the nutritional status of residents, planning and implementing medical nutrition therapy, and educating both residents and their families about nutrition-related matters. The ideal candidate will work closely with the healthcare team to communicate individualized nutritional care plans, ensuring that each resident receives comprehensive and coordinated support.

Freedom Square prides itself on fostering a vibrant workplace culture which includes monthly luncheons and campus-wide events, enhancing camaraderie among staff. The community maintains high standards of cleanliness and comfort, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for both residents and employees. With favorable staffing ratios and a predominantly low-acuity patient population, staff members are supported in delivering quality care efficiently. The organization offers benefits to both full-time and part-time employees, including paid time off, paid holidays, tuition assistance, and a revised wage and bonus structure that recognizes employee contributions.

Furthermore, Freedom Square provides an innovative payment program called DailyPay, which allows employees to access earned wages on-demand. Employee engagement is emphasized through fun, inclusive events and ongoing career advancement opportunities backed by paid training initiatives. The community’s commitment to hospitality is deeply ingrained in its culture, with a set of hospitality promises that prioritize respect, accountability, diversity, professionalism, and attentiveness in all interpersonal interactions.

In summary, Freedom Square of Seminole is not just a retirement community but a comprehensive life care environment offering a fulfilling and supportive workplace for professionals. This role in Culinary Services is perfect for those who want to contribute meaningfully to senior care through nutrition, enjoy working in a high-quality, friendly, and supportive setting, and value ongoing professional development and employee recognition.
