The organization values each individual’s unique experiences and encourages growth both professionally and spiritually, making it a fulfilling place for career development and personal enrichment. AdventHealth prioritizes creating a culture of inclusivity and teamwork, emphasizing that together, its members can achieve more for the patients and communities they serve.
The Registered Dietitian role at AdventHealth is essential to supporting patient health through expert nutritional care. As a full-time position based in Orlando, Florida, this role involves a wide range of clinical nutrition responsibilities aimed at improving patient outcomes through personalized nutrition assessment, intervention, and education. The successful candidate will complete nutrition-focused physical assessments, measure patients, review medical records, collect data through interviews, and evaluate patients’ anthropometric status to identify various nutrition risks and problems. They will develop and implement nutrition care plans that not only address malnutrition and other diet-related health conditions but also provide counseling and education tailored to the patient’s health literacy and cultural backgrounds.
The dietitian in this role will also have the ability to place feeding tubes and perform indirect calorimetry studies, which demonstrate a higher level of technical expertise within the clinical nutrition field. In addition, they will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to create and monitor nutrition plans of care. This role offers an opportunity to influence patient care positively by ensuring that nutrition-related interventions are evidence-based and integrated into overall treatment plans.
Apart from direct patient care, the dietitian will also have a role in supervising dietetic interns, dietetic technicians, and new employees which underscores the mentoring and leadership components of this position. Participation in research, performance improvement initiatives, and quality improvement projects is encouraged, contributing to AdventHealth’s continuous pursuit of excellence in healthcare. The role requires timely and accurate documentation using electronic health records and entails active participation in patient care rounds and internal communications to promote seamless collaboration across departments.
AdventHealth offers a competitive pay range from $23.71 to $44.09 per hour, reflecting the level of responsibility and expertise required. Employees can benefit from a rich array of perks starting from their first day, including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, paid time off, a 403-B retirement plan, and paid parental leave. Additional support in mental health, whole person well-being resources, career development, and even pet benefits signal AdventHealth’s commitment to the overall welfare of their team members and their families. This position provides a meaningful career path for those passionate about nutrition and dedicated to impacting lives through holistic healthcare in a vibrant, supportive environment.
