Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- certified dietitian (CD) from accredited issuing body
- licensed dietitian/nutritionist (LDN) from EV accredited issuing body
- licensed dietitian (LD) from EV accredited issuing body
- registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) from EV accredited issuing body
- experience with nutrition assessments and interventions
- knowledge of electronic health record documentation
- ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals
- experience in supervising interns and new employees
- understanding of evidence-based nutrition care
- ability to perform feeding tube placement and indirect calorimetry studies
Job Duties
- Complete nutrition-focused physical assessments
- take measurements and review medical records
- collect data via interviews and evaluate anthropometric status
- evaluate assessment data to identify nutrition risks and problems
- offer nutrition interventions, orders, education, counseling, and referrals
- place feeding tubes or perform indirect calorimetry studies
- provide counseling and education using evidence-based techniques
- monitor and evaluate nutrition care plans
- supervise practice experience for dietetic interns and new employees
- participate in research and performance improvement initiatives
- document using electronic health records
- enter nutrition orders as authorized
- participate in patient care rounds
- collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
- promote evidence-based nutrition care
- provide timely responses to internal electronic communication
- perform other duties as assigned
