Job Description

Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. With a commitment rooted in service and driven by a purpose to make a positive impact on people, communities, and the planet, Aramark fosters a dynamic work environment where employees are empowered to grow their talents and passions. The company values diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military status, protected veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. Aramark’s mission is to strive for excellence in serving its partners and communities while cultivating a workplace where every individual feels a sense of belonging and professional growth is supported.

The Registered Dietitian / Marketing Coordinator position at Aramark, located at Old Dominion University, is a hybrid role that intricately blends the expertise of nutrition with marketing strategies to enhance the student dining and wellness experience. This role serves as the campus nutrition expert and a brand ambassador, overseeing nutrition education and wellness programming while driving marketing initiatives designed to boost engagement and sales across campus dining venues. The position involves close collaboration with on-site operations, account leadership, and corporate marketing to bring Aramark’s visions to life at the university.

In this pivotal role, the coordinator manages and executes communication strategies and nutrition programs while organizing experiential marketing efforts that resonate with the campus community. Responsibilities include serving as the on-site registered dietitian providing essential nutrition expertise, conducting menu analysis, and ensuring allergen oversight to meet regulatory standards. The role requires partnership with culinary teams to develop recipes and menus aligned with nutrition guidelines and appropriate menu labeling requirements. Additionally, the coordinator supports dietary accommodations in conjunction with campus accessibility and health services.

On the marketing front, this role demands leadership in executing innovative launches and location-specific marketing campaigns through print, digital, and social media channels, all aimed at fostering guest engagement and business growth. The coordinator is responsible for organizing guest engagement events that showcase menus, wellness programs, and vendor partnerships, creating compelling marketing presentations and materials, and conducting market research to translate insights into actionable plans. Tracking participation and sales results to evaluate campaign success is also a critical aspect.

Collaboration and leadership form another core dimension of this role. The coordinator acts as a brand ambassador ensuring consistent communications and builds strategic relationships with university partners, student organizations, vendors, and the campus community. Additionally, supporting student interns and cross-functional teams is key to promoting teamwork and operational success. Flexibility to support additional Aramark locations or projects as needed is also essential.

Overall, this role is ideal for someone passionate about nutrition and wellness, eager to leverage marketing skills to impact positively on the student community at a leading university. It offers a unique opportunity to blend professional nutrition credentials with marketing acumen within a supportive, mission-driven company environment that values growth, innovation, and inclusivity. If you are motivated to bring your expertise to a role that champions health and wellness while engaging a vibrant campus audience, this position offers a compelling career path with Aramark at Old Dominion University.
