Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree
- master's degree
- certification as a dietitian
- licensure as a dietitian/nutritionist
- registration as a dietitian nutritionist
- ability to perform nutrition assessments and interventions
- experience in counseling and patient education
- knowledge of evidence-based nutrition practices
- competency in electronic health record documentation
- excellent communication and collaboration skills
- ability to supervise interns and new staff
- commitment to cultural sensitivity and health literacy

Job Duties
- complete nutrition-focused physical assessments
- take measurements
- review medical records
- collect data via interviews
- evaluate anthropometric status
- identify nutrition risks and malnutrition criteria
- offer nutrition interventions, orders, education, counseling, and referrals
- place feeding tubes
- perform indirect calorimetry studies
- provide counseling and education with cultural sensitivity
- monitor and evaluate nutrition care plans
- supervise dietetic interns, technicians, and new employees
- participate in research and performance improvement initiatives
- document electronic health records accurately and timely
- enter nutrition orders
- participate in patient care rounds
- collaborate with healthcare professionals
- promote evidence-based nutrition care
- respond to internal electronic communications
