This role is for a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) working full-time on the day shift at the Orlando, Florida location. The position involves conducting nutrition-focused physical assessments, collecting and evaluating patient data, identifying nutrition risks, and providing tailored nutrition interventions and counseling. The role offers a competitive pay range from $23.71 to $44.09 per hour and includes benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, paid time off starting from day one, a 403-B retirement plan, and four weeks of fully paid parental leave. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) credential
  • must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend conversational English
  • basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • knowledge of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy
  • ability to search the web for nutrition research and update reference materials
  • ability to perform meal test trays three times per month
  • attend interdisciplinary meetings and rounds
  • assist in regulatory survey preparation
  • keep department resource materials updated
  • ability to follow patient care standards and national patient safety goals
  • ability to provide age-appropriate assessment and interventions
  • strong organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • ability to adapt to changes and work with minimal supervision
  • ability to maintain accurate records
  • knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) credential
  • comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy
  • proficiency in the Nutrition Care Process of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • skill in working with electronic health record systems
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to interact constructively with supervisors, peers, and support personnel
  • ability to work well with minimal supervision
  • ability to keep accurate and complete records
  • knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to dietetics practice
  • proficiency in identifying and using comparative standards for nutrient and body weight estimations
  • initiative to stay current with developments in the field of dietetics

Job Duties

  • Completes nutrition-focused physical assessments, takes measurements, reviews medical records, collects data via interviews, and evaluates anthropometric status
  • evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks, nutrition problems, criteria consistent with malnutrition, knowledge deficits, and high-risk health behaviors
  • offers nutrition interventions, orders, education, counseling, and referrals to other services
  • may place feeding tubes or perform indirect calorimetry studies
  • provides counseling and education using evidence-based techniques that reflect appropriate health literacy and cultural sensitivity to patients with disease processes requiring nutritional management
