Job Description
Jefferson Dental and Orthodontics is a leading dental care provider dedicated to delivering exemplary patient experiences through a foundation built on education and empathy. With a mission centered on outstanding patient care, this establishment combines a compassionate approach with advanced dental techniques to ensure every patient not only receives treatment but also feels valued and comfortable throughout their visit. Jefferson Dental and Orthodontics operates multiple clinic locations, each staffed by highly skilled professionals committed to fostering a welcoming environment that promotes both oral health and patient satisfaction. This organization embraces a culture of continuous learning, teamwork, and community involvement, demonstrating a strong commitment to both the professional growth of its team members and the well-being of the patients they serve.
The role of Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) at Jefferson Dental and Orthodontics is integral to achieving the company's mission of delivering top-tier dental services coupled with a 5-star patient experience. This full-time position offers hourly compensation ranging from $17.00 to $22.00, reflecting the significance and expertise required. The RDA works closely with the Lead Registered Dental Assistant and Dentist, supporting multiple aspects of patient care from chairside assistance to administrative and laboratory tasks. This multifaceted role ensures that each patient receives personalized attention and comprehensive support during their dental visit. Notably, the position requires flexibility in working hours, including mandatory alternating Saturdays to maintain clinic operations and patient accessibility.
In this capacity, the RDA will gather and document patient medical histories, perform dental imaging such as x-rays and impressions, and assist with clinical procedures including the application of topical anesthetics and preparation of temporary crowns. The role also demands a strict adherence to infection control protocols, ensuring patient safety through meticulous sterilization practices. Beyond clinical duties, the RDA is cross-trained to aid in front office activities and supports community outreach initiatives, highlighting the position's dynamic and collaborative environment.
Core competencies for success in this role include leadership abilities to set and communicate goals effectively, integrity and credibility to build trust, and strong communication skills tailored to diverse patient needs. The RDA must exhibit initiative and resilience in a fast-paced environment, maintain quality and organization in documentation, and adapt to changing priorities while fostering a cooperative and inclusive work atmosphere. The opportunity at Jefferson Dental and Orthodontics not only emphasizes technical expertise but also the importance of empathy and customer service excellence to enhance the overall patient experience.
