Job Description

ASC Machine Tools, Inc. is a highly respected machinery engineering and manufacturing company that has been serving the metal-forming industry for over 70 years. Founded in 1949, ASC has established itself as a leader in the design and production of rollforming machinery, tooling, and associated metal-processing equipment. The company operates as a vertically integrated business, performing virtually all manufacturing processes in-house, ensuring quality control, efficiency, and innovation at every stage. ASC's primary market includes providing exceptional equipment to the steel construction industry as well as the two-piece food and beverage can industry. Major applications of ASC machinery span across various sectors such as pre-engineered buildings, metal building components, steel decking, structural beams, and grain bin manufacturing. Additionally, ASC supplies equipment to complementary industries like lighting, garage door manufacturing, stamping, and heating and air-conditioning, broadening its outreach and impact in metal-forming technology.

The role currently available at ASC Machine Tools, Inc. is a crucial sales position aimed at helping the company meet and exceed its sales targets by engaging with existing and potential customers. The position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $100,000 plus commission, commensurate with experience. This full-time role reports directly to the President and CEO and does not include supervisory responsibilities, allowing the individual to focus intently on sales performance and customer relationship management. The sales representative will be responsible for presenting ASC's extensive range of products, maintaining in-depth product knowledge, and serving as a dedicated liaison between customers and the company's internal departments. Responsibilities include completing precise documentation, coordinating delivery schedules according to company policies, and managing customer inquiries and post-sales service matters such as logistics and warranty issues.

Working at ASC entails significant engagement with advanced manufacturing and office environments, as well as frequent travel to customer sites domestically and internationally, including Europe, Asia, and South America. This dynamic environment requires the sales professional to be adaptable, highly communicative, and technically skilled in metal manufacturing and job-shop terminologies. The role demands excellent interpersonal and analytical skills to develop sales strategies, negotiate contracts, and build long-term business relationships. Overall, this opportunity offers a rewarding career path with a well-established company at the forefront of metal-forming manufacturing technology, supported by a robust benefits package including health insurance, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and an employee assistance program. ASC Machine Tools, Inc. prides itself on being an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion.
