The role available is centered around managing Regional Supermarket End Users and Wholesaler Accounts sold via Distribution channels. This position requires a proactive, customer-facing professional who is adept at engaging with multiple contacts and locations within customer organizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales volume targets and revenue goals, ensuring profitable business growth through strategic account management and deep relationship building across all levels within the customer's enterprise.

Responsibility for managing comprehensive End User customer relationships is fundamental in this role. The individual will collaborate cross-functionally with departments including Procurement, Product Development, Marketing, Quality, Finance, Category Management, Supply Chain, Forecasting, and Advertising & Promotion to ensure alignment and successful delivery of customer solutions. Effective communication skills are vital to bridge customer requirements with internal teams at Novolex, ensuring timely responses to pricing updates, product development quotations, and capital needs.

Additional accountability includes prompt resolution of service and quality issues, maintaining robust sales activity tracking through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, securing accurate demand forecasts, and delivering insightful market segment analysis to leadership. There is an essential focus on collaborative efforts with the Distribution team to maximize sales impact and operational efficiency.

Candidates should note the role offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $160,000 plus bonus and benefits, reflecting compensation that aligns with the candidate's unique blend of skills, experience, and education. Travel is a component of the role, with the expectation of up to 40 percent travel to various company locations.

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • 5-7 plus years of relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of food packaging and B2B sales
  • Willingness to travel up to 40 percent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM, SAP, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project management capability

Job Qualifications

  • 5-7 plus years of CPG/Foodservice/not for resale product experience
  • Knowledge of food packaging and B2B sales preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed to company locations up to 40 percent
  • Solid communication skills including written, verbal, presentation and negotiation
  • Proficient with CRM, SAP and Microsoft Excel/PPT
  • Demonstrated project management skills

Job Duties

  • Manages Regional Supermarket End Users and Wholesaler accounts sold via distribution
  • Be in front of customer contacts and locations throughout the customer’s organization
  • Achieve sales target volume and revenue and drive profitable business growth
  • Manage overall End User customer relationship by coordinating with multiple functional departments
  • Build effective relationships at all organizational levels and with company key team members
  • Communicate customer requirements to appropriate internal teams
  • Manage pricing updates, developmental product quotations including capital requirements
  • Address all service and quality matters promptly and thoroughly
  • Maintain adequate sales activity and ensure updates via CRM tool
  • Work with customers to secure accurate demand forecasts on time
  • Provide market segment analysis including technical specifications and competitive share information
  • Collaborate with Distribution team for optimal sales impact
