This role demands a high level of industry knowledge, particularly in petroleum equipment and fuel jobber markets, as well as strong sales acumen and relationship-building skills. The successful candidate will engage directly with end users and distributor partners, making it a versatile and strategic role within Syntech. The job is a full-time remote role, offering a competitive annual salary range between $85,188.60 and $165,614.23.\n\nIn this sales role, the primary responsibility is business development, focusing on identifying and cultivating new customer opportunities. The candidate will be instrumental in building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline, utilizing collaboration with distributors and Syntech's internal teams to convert prospects into committed clients. As the regional face of Syntech, this individual will be the key brand ambassador, actively representing the company's interests and values to distributors, corporate headquarters, and project teams. They will maximize available resources in team-selling scenarios to close deals efficiently and will be expected to rapidly gain product expertise to facilitate quick market penetration across multiple customer segments.\n\nAdditional duties include establishing and nurturing strategic relationships with suppliers, distributors, and existing customers to foster loyalty and support growth. Managing distributor partnerships effectively to leverage the full Syntech product line will be a critical aspect of the job, alongside representing the company at industry trade shows and networking events to generate and follow up on leads. Monitoring competitor activity and gathering market intelligence are vital responsibilities that will inform strategic sales initiatives. This role also requires acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure project execution and customer satisfaction are aligned with Syntech's high standards. Consistent and thorough reporting of sales performance, lead progress, and market insights will be essential for ongoing strategy refinement. Throughout all activities, maintaining professional integrity in line with Syntech's values and corporate culture is paramount to success in this role.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of outside (field) sales experience
  • consistent and dependable work history reflecting 3-5 years of tenure with each previous employer
  • proven experience selling fuel or petroleum-related equipment
  • willingness to travel extensively (~50%) including overnight stays
  • based in the southwest, preferably California or Nevada
  • valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record
  • proficiency with MS Office tools
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to build consultative relationships and manage customer expectations
  • ability to work effectively in fast-paced sales environments

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of outside (field) sales experience with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • proven experience selling fuel or petroleum-related equipment, with hands-on familiarity in jobber and distributor channel sales
  • proven track record of delivering persuasive client presentations and translating technical product features into meaningful business benefits for diverse audiences
  • willingness to travel extensively (~50%), including overnight stays, to meet business objectives across the region
  • based in the southwest, preferably California or Nevada, with reliable local proximity to territory accounts
  • possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
  • demonstrate sound business judgement and leadership, influencing decisions and managing engagements
  • proficient with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and Outlook) for reporting, forecasting, and correspondence
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and verbal
  • ability to build trust-based consultative relationships, position solutions, and manage customer expectations

Job Duties

  • act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring project execution and client satisfaction
  • report sales performance, leads, and market intelligence regularly to internal stakeholders
