The role of Regional Sales Director at Triumvirate Environmental is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the Mid-Atlantic South, Southeast, and Southcentral regions, which include states such as Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Puerto Rico, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. Reporting directly to the Senior General Manager, the Regional Sales Director leads a diverse team composed of Account Managers, Business Development Associates, and Business Development Managers, partnering closely with the General Manager to drive profitable growth and strengthen customer relationships throughout these extensive territories.

This role demands strong leadership and strategic sales management skills to coach and develop high-performing sales professionals while enforcing rigorous sales process discipline and accountability to key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs). The Regional Sales Director will champion a culture focused on continuous improvement, customer intimacy, and exceptional service delivery. They are tasked with fostering a high-performance environment that motivates the sales team to deliver results, expand customer bases, and maintain long-lasting business partnerships.

The position involves a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including providing ongoing guidance on prospecting, opportunity management, negotiation, cross-selling, and account expansion strategies. The Regional Sales Director delivers consistent training programs emphasizing sales process execution, CRM utilization, proposal development, time management, and professional communication. Regular performance reviews are conducted to provide constructive feedback and ensure that team members meet or exceed their sales goals.

The role also extends to cultivating strategic partnerships through industry networking, professional associations, trade shows, and enterprise-level relationships to bolster the company’s presence and reputation within the region. This leader provides critical support in identifying and prioritizing high-value opportunities, guiding pricing strategies, contract terms, and proposal approval processes to align with company standards and profitability goals.

Operationally, the Regional Sales Director leverages CRM and reporting tools to monitor pipeline activity, sales forecasts, and overall performance metrics. They hold team members accountable for achieving sales activity standards and lead quarterly commission reviews and approvals. Partnering with Marketing, the Director develops strategies designed to boost customer engagement, retention, and regional growth initiatives while supporting the roll-out of new products and services.

Safety and corporate culture are paramount as this leader champions a safety-first approach, ensuring alignment with company safety standards and regulatory requirements in all customer-facing and field activities. The Director builds strong internal and external relationships, maintaining professionalism and integrity across all interactions. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, environmental science, or related field
  • 10+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • Proven experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling principles, prospecting strategies, account retention, and customer relationship management
  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and performance through metrics, coaching, and process management
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management abilities with attention to detail
  • Experience with CRM platforms and sales reporting tools
  • familiarity with Oracle CX, Salesforce, or similar systems preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including air travel

Job Duties

  • Lead, coach, and develop regional sales team members to strengthen sales effectiveness, improve customer retention, and accelerate new business growth
  • Provide ongoing guidance on prospecting, opportunity management, cross-selling, negotiation, and account expansion strategies
  • Deliver consistent training on sales process execution, CRM utilization, proposal development, time management, and professional communication
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement performance improvement plans when needed
  • Partner with the General Manager on recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and developing top sales talent
  • Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement
  • Motivate and inspire the team while serving as a role model for professionalism, leadership, and customer engagement
