Job Description
Guest Worldwide is a dynamic global collective of industry-leading companies with over 40 years of unparalleled experience in serving the diverse needs of markets across the world. The company excels in providing comprehensive hospitality and distribution solutions through its Guest Supply division, manufacturing premium personal care amenities via Gilchrist & Soames, and creating innovative textile solutions at Manchester Mills. Serving more than 25,000 hotels in over 100 countries, Guest Worldwide operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Sysco, a global leader in food and beverage distribution, known for being the 13th largest sales organization worldwide. This integration allows Guest Worldwide to leverage extensive resources and expertise, ensuring they remain at the forefront of the hospitality supply industry.
The Regional Sales Director role at Guest Worldwide is an instrumental position focused on the successful execution of established sales strategies to meet regional revenue, volume, and margin goals. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, this role is deeply involved in disciplined sales management, operational excellence, and leadership of district sales teams. The Regional Sales Director is charged with translating high-level strategies into actionable plans and daily sales activities, ensuring alignment and consistent field execution across assigned districts. This position is pivotal in maintaining the momentum of sales efforts by driving accountability and ensuring that district-level execution aligns with corporate objectives and policies.
In performing these duties, the director oversees several critical responsibilities including monitoring and improving sales performance metrics such as account growth, case volume, and gross margin. The role demands a strong focus on coaching and developing District Sales Managers to cultivate a professional, performance-driven sales environment that is aligned with company standards and customer expectations. By fostering collaboration across internal teams such as marketing and operations, the Regional Sales Director supports the successful implementation of promotions, product initiatives, and vendor programs.
The position is also deeply engaged in financial and business accountability, including managing budgets, forecasts, and targets while identifying and addressing performance gaps proactively. The role requires keen analytical skills to leverage CRM and other analytics tools effectively for driving sales accountability and visibility. Furthermore, a high level of operational discipline is essential to ensure sales meetings, action plans, and deployment activities are consistently executed to support the broader organizational goals.
This leadership role requires a candidate with strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to inspire and hold teams accountable while fostering an environment of continuous improvement and customer-centric service. Technical proficiency in CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce, along with Microsoft Office tools is critical. The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple initiatives, and maintain strategic execution discipline is equally vital.
The Regional Sales Director should hold a bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, hospitality, or a related field, complemented by 3 to 5 years of sales management experience in a B2B environment. Experience leading distributed sales teams and a background in hospitality, OS&E, distribution, or related industries is highly preferred. This position does not involve setting long-term market strategies or pricing policies, which remain the responsibility of the Vice President of Sales, but rather concentrates on the effective field-level execution of these strategies, ensuring that Guest Worldwide continues its tradition of excellence and market leadership.
