This role is strategic and hands-on, with responsibilities including supporting the implementation of new processes like GFSI standards, TraceGains software, and finished product testing. The manager may also act as the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) Practitioner as needed, providing essential oversight and expertise. The position requires proactive engagement with co-packers to monitor quality, investigate failures, and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Moreover, this role involves fostering the sharing of best practices across all bakeries, promoting quality improvement projects, and utilizing various quality tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Kaizen, and 5-S. The Regional Quality Food Safety Manager is also responsible for analyzing data trends, overseeing consumer complaint reduction strategies, and facilitating relationships between sales, marketing, and production to swiftly address and resolve quality-related issues.
Leadership competencies expected from this position include adaptability, engagement driving, accountability maintenance, and the ability to manage complex information effectively. With travel requirements up to 75 percent and occasional weekend commitments, this is a dynamic role suited for professionals passionate about food safety, quality assurance, and operational excellence in the food industry. Bimbo Bakeries USA offers an attractive salary range of $118,800 to $166,300, along with eligibility for annual bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package that supports the health, wellbeing, and financial security of its employees.
