The Flight Service Team within the Customer Experience Division is currently seeking a dedicated professional to join as a Galley and Catering Operations Specialist. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of onboard galley packing and catering services, directly impacting the quality of inflight service offered to passengers. The specialist will act as an internal subject matter expert, overseeing system audits related to scheduled meal services, and managing communications between various stakeholders including internal teams and external suppliers. The role requires acute attention to detail as it involves auditing catering diagrams, resolving galley packing issues, and supporting the development of new service concepts tailored to evolving aircraft and passenger needs.

- bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training
- 3 years experience in airline/hotel food and beverage, restaurants, catering, purchasing, or flight service
- prior project management work experience
- requires 50% - 75% of travel domestic and international
- must have a passport prior to employment

Job Duties
- acts as an internal subject matter expert regarding onboard galley packing, equipment, and related policies and procedures for inflight catering
- oversees the completion of monthly changes in the galley packing system by an external supplier (CBASE)
- audits catering diagrams for accuracy with scheduled provisioning in AirVision catering system
- oversees the communication of all galley changes for both internal and external users
- resolves galley packing issues and performs ad hoc analysis for new service concepts and aircraft
- investigates catering problems and issues
- assists with development and implementation of solutions as related to galley diagrams
- works in conjunction with vendors and providers sourcing products or service requests
- acts as the liaison between CBASE and AA Flight Service Procedures
- ability to travel domestically and internationally
