The 7-Eleven brand is known for revolutionizing convenience, combining technology and innovation to offer customers quick access to everyday essentials, food service options, and fuel. The company continues to transform the retail experience through cutting-edge innovation and a strong commitment to customer service. At 7-Eleven, employees are empowered to "activate awesome" by making meaningful contributions to their stores and communities on a daily basis. This commitment to innovation and excellence fosters a dynamic work environment where growth, leadership, and impact are highly encouraged and supported.
The role of Regional Maintenance Trainer at 7-Eleven is a pivotal position responsible for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of maintenance training programs across the region. This role works closely with both new and existing Regional Maintenance Trainers (RMTs) and Field Maintenance Technicians, focusing on developing their skills and capabilities to maintain all aspects of store equipment and building systems efficiently and safely. The Regional Maintenance Trainer is tasked with developing individual training profiles, overseeing the execution of development plans, and providing advanced technical support when necessary. By coordinating the training of maintenance personnel, the trainer ensures that staff adheres to company standards and performs repairs correctly, which in turn supports the overall operational success of 7-Eleven stores.
In this capacity, the Regional Maintenance Trainer acts as a subject matter expert in various specialized trades related to convenience store equipment and maintenance. They are responsible for evaluating the performance of maintenance staff using a variety of metrics and assessment tools to identify training needs. Following these evaluations, the trainer develops and delivers custom training programs to address these needs, using both in-person and virtual formats. Furthermore, they develop skill and competency profiles for each technician, helping to chart personalized development paths and providing valuable feedback to management about the progress of individuals and groups. This focus on tailored development ensures that the maintenance teams stay knowledgeable and capable of handling the broad range of repair and maintenance tasks common in convenience store environments.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong technical background with at least seven years of relevant experience, along with robust organizational and communication skills. Experience working with software such as Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, as is the ability to lead and facilitate team activities effectively. The Regional Maintenance Trainer must also be capable of researching and resolving issues independently, building sustainable collaborations, and possessing a solid understanding of intra-departmental functions and operations. This role is critical to maintaining high standards for 7-Eleven’s operational infrastructure, directly impacting store efficiency and customer satisfaction. Employment is offered on a full-time basis, and 7-Eleven provides a competitive compensation package reflecting the importance of this role within the company’s regional maintenance framework.
