The role of Regional Maintenance Supervisor is a key leadership position within Tropicana's Maintenance Service Company, responsible for overseeing maintenance and operational functions across several multifamily properties within a designated region. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all facilities under their supervision remain safe, functional, and visually appealing. The supervisor will manage maintenance staff, coordinate repair and improvement projects, allocate resources effectively, and maintain comprehensive budgets for maintenance activities.

Additionally, the Regional Maintenance Supervisor supports urgent facility needs, responds to emergency service calls, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including OSHA regulations. The position requires strong leadership, technical proficiency across various trades such as carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. With a competitive hourly wage of up to $25.00 depending on experience and knowledge assessment, this role offers a rewarding opportunity for professionals looking to advance their careers in property maintenance management.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or in a similar leadership role
  • Familiarity with multi-family property maintenance operations
  • Strong technical skills in various maintenance trades
  • Ability to work flexible hours to address emergency repairs
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to manage budgets and track maintenance costs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC, electrical
  • Leadership skills and ability to supervise maintenance technicians
  • Experience in managing multi-family property maintenance
  • Ability to plan and allocate maintenance resources effectively
  • Experience in budgeting for maintenance and repair projects
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Inspecting facilities periodically to determine problems, necessary maintenance and identify potential repairs and property maintenance projects
  • Effectively manage assigned multi-family properties
  • organizing, planning, and directing all activities related to maintenance, repairs, and improvements
  • Support the urgent facilities’ needs of the properties that are required in daily operation by distributing efforts and managing the maintenance requests received through the property manager
  • Preparing weekly maintenance on call schedules, distributing materials and allocate work accordingly
  • Ensure service calls for emergency repairs are answered, follows through with specialty requests from start to finish during standard hours and occasionally non-standard hours
  • Direct special projects affecting properties or equipment in Tropicana’s inventory
