The Regional Director - Workplace Experience, Events & Facilities is a senior leadership role based in New York, overseeing a diverse portfolio spanning New York, Boston, Washington DC, and Toronto. The role combines world-class facilities management with premium meetings and events delivery, requiring hands-on leadership to ensure service excellence and a seamless workplace experience for clients at every touchpoint. This leader sets the tone for a culture of high performance, agility, and responsiveness, managing multi-disciplinary teams across facilities operations, guest experience, and events. The position demands a strategic thinker with operational expertise and an ability to foster trusted relationships among senior client stakeholders and internal teams alike. With accountability extending regionally, regular travel to support various sites is required.

The Regional Director plays a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in both daily operations and special events, including high-profile board meetings and corporate gatherings. They ensure flawless delivery through close collaboration with AV, catering, security, and reception teams while continuously improving event and workplace experience processes based on data and client feedback. Their leadership fosters inclusive, high-performance teams committed to excellence and ongoing development, building resilience and succession capacity throughout the organization.

Operationally, the role focuses heavily on meeting contractual requirements and client expectations, managing landlord relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing cost-saving innovations that enhance value. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to drive results in complex multi-site portfolios, demonstrate agility in leadership style, and possess strong communication skills to build credibility at all organizational levels. Proficiency with business tools including Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Airtable, and Slack is essential, alongside a functional knowledge of corporate real estate and integrated facility management. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 8-12 years of progressive facilities management experience
  • Proven track record leading multi-site, multi-disciplinary facilities teams across geographically dispersed portfolios including international locations
  • Significant experience delivering high-profile meetings and events for senior executives and large corporate gatherings with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse, inclusive teams spanning facilities operations, guest experience, and meetings and events
  • Agile, responsive leadership style comfortable with strategy setting and hands-on management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel periodically to Boston, Washington DC, and Toronto
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-expectation corporate environments supporting global or Fortune 500 organizations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Airtable, and Slack
  • Functional knowledge of corporate real estate and integrated facilities management
  • Tolerance for ambiguity and resilience to perform at a consistently high level across complex, multi-site environments

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary, highly visible CBRE leader for the New York portfolio with regional accountability across Boston, Washington DC, and Toronto
  • Lead by example, modelling CBRE RISE values and setting a high-performance, service-oriented culture that permeates every layer of the team
  • Respond swiftly and decisively to emerging issues, demonstrating agility to manage across multiple time zones and diverse site environments
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders at each site, acting as a responsive and proactive business partner
  • Maintain a visible, engaged leadership presence in New York and across the wider region that inspires confidence in clients, team members, and stakeholders
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of high-profile meetings and events ensuring flawless execution for senior executives and large corporate events
  • Set and maintain impeccable standards of presentation, hospitality, and attention to detail across all meeting spaces and event environments
  • Partner closely with AV, catering, security, and reception teams to deliver integrated, seamless event experiences reflecting the client’s brand
  • Lead, develop, and inspire diverse, multi-disciplinary teams spanning facilities management, meetings and events, and workplace experience
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture valuing diversity and supporting talent growth and retention
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery aligned to contractual requirements and client expectations
  • Track, report, and drive achievement of regional KPIs and address performance gaps
  • Manage landlord and property manager relationships
  • Identify and implement financial savings, process efficiencies, and scalable innovations
  • Maintain regulatory compliance across all facilities with a comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and building standards
  • Act as a business partner to senior client and account leadership contributing to operational strategy and long-term growth
